Join us as we learn about and discuss PROJECT 2025, other issues and the fight to “secure the blessings of liberty for ourselves and our posterity”.
Discuss with others and create talking points to equip you to GOTV (Get Out The Vote) by canvassing, phone banking, texting, postcards and speaking to friends and family.

I’m excited to announce today that my team and I will be hosting a Passport Fair next month to give Central Coast families the chance to file for new or renewed passports directly with the U.S. Department of State.
Walk-in availability will be limited, so reserve a spot today here!
Once you’ve reserved your spot, don’t forget to come prepared with the following documents:
- A passport application for each applicant (forms can be filled out and printed here: travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply/forms.html)
- Proof of U.S. citizenship
- Photo Identification and a clear, single-sided copy of the front and back of the ID

Tuesday – 09/10/24 – VENTURA – Another danger is moving lock-step with Project 2025 – Election Deniers. Speak out at the Tuesday Board of Supervisors meeting
A local band of election-deniers is teaming up with a national group to present a manifesto chock-full of mis-and-disinformation to all our local and county government boards. Their goals include spreading generalized distrust in our election system, suppressing voter access on the front end, and causing chaos and court challenges to election results on the back end.
According to the Brennan Center, they are part of a movement that poses a threat to U.S. democracy. Come out and speak up for our country. We have talking points and other information to help. These people are part of an incredibly dangerous un-American movement sponsored by far-right operatives and Christian nationalist groups like Ziklag. Conspiracies pushing rampant voter fraud are dangerous. QAnon helped spread the ”Big Lie” that the 2020 election was stolen, setting the stage for the Jan. 6 siege, five deaths, more than 200 arrests and the second impeachment of Donald Trump. Now, “ElectionDenialGate” is a nationwide threat, with both an ex-president telling people they no longer need to vote, and at least 70 election-deniers holding critical posts affecting election certification. This dogwhistle has set expectations that his win and those of fellow GOP candidates are already assured. Therefore the potential for violence after an election is not just limited to Washington D.C., but to any city, county or state where election-denial conspiracists feel they’ve been deprived of a rightful win.

EVERYDAY ACTIONS
Task #1 – Democracy isn’t going to save itself.
We can’t just depend on the Democrats to educate people on Project 2025 – they’ve got their hands full promoting specific candidates and now they’ve got this whole Biden thing to deal with. We all need to become trusted messengers spreading the word about the wider threat of Project 2025 to friends, relatives, and our wider social circles. Talk to Republicans too. For those who still see themselves as “fiscal conservatives,” this may not be what they signed up for.
But Trump says he’s not associated with it! Seriously! He lies like a 4-year-old.

Task #2 – Talk about voting.
A lot of people will be harmed by a Christo-fascist regime – our immigrant and LGBTQ communities, our schools, teachers and librarians, those vulnerable to pollution and climate change, girls and women no longer in control of their reproductive lives, religious and racial minorities, elderly, children and disabled folks who depend on social safety nets, those living in public housing, workers, union members, etc… Even if each group banded together, there are not enough of them to defend themselves from the danger to come.
Biden’s resignation has changed the conversation a bit, but there will still be people who will be disappointed, no matter who takes his place. Our home-grown perfectionists will express this by declaring they aren’t going to vote, or that they will vote 3rd party to “send a statement” – that the replacement isn’t who they wanted, isn’t (fill in the blank) enough, or that they want “to hold them accountable” for saying or doing (fill in the blank). It took Germans generations to admit to supporting a man who promised to make Germany great again. Imagine trying to explain to our own future kids and grandchildren why we didn’t do all that we could to defend democracy when we had the chance.
Task #3 – Vote for love!
Instead of letting anger or ego drive one’s vote, vote for democracy. Vote for the future. Vote for the opportunity to vote again. And, as corny as this may sound, vote for love. Visualize the faces of those you love who will be harmed under a Christo-fascist regime, and then TELL THEM you are dedicating your vote to protecting them. They know they are vulnerable. Let them know you have their back.
