Inspired by the incredible success of the Black Women for Harris call, more and more communities are coming together to rally each other and organize themselves for the Vice President – from white dudes to voters with disabilities to dads to dog and cat ladies. The momentum will pick up even further next week. We can join the Progressives for Harris kickoff call on Monday at 8pm ET, the Rural Americans for Harris call on Tuesday at 8pm ET or the Latter-day Saints for Harris call on Tuesday at 8PM ET. Let’s sign up and spread the word about these opportunities!
- HELP ROY COOPER KEEP NC SAFE FROM MARK ROBINSON
We’ll soon know who will be on the ticket with Vice-President Harris, but one prominent name has removed himself for reasons we can all respect. North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper asked not to be considered out of concern that Republican Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson would use his leaving the state to campaign to seize power for himself. This presents real dangers, as Robinson has a long and growing history of endorsing political violence, along with spreading conspiracy theories; mongering hate against the LGBTQIA community. Jews, and Muslims; and extremist views against abortion and the separation of church and state. Cooper’s putting his state first is laudable, and he needs our help: Robinson is also the GOP’s nominee to be Cooper’s successor this November. Let’s join North Carolina Democrats working to protect their state from Robinson. We can join them for virtual phonebanks Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.
- SAVING A SENATE SEAT IN MONTANA
With West Virginia likely lost, Democrats have no margin for error if we intend to hold the Senate majority – and ensure that the Harris Administration can get its judicial nominees and cabinet members confirmed. One of the toughest races we face is in the deep-red state of Montana, where labor, veterans’ health care and public lands champion and key IRA vote Senator Jon Tester is running for reelection. His opponent is Tim Sheehy, a Minnesota billionaire who has told multiple conflicting stories about a wound he claimed he received while serving in Afghanistan and backed eliminating the Department of Education, building the wall and extremist forced birth policies. Grassroots Democrats is working with the Montana Democratic Party to get out the vote for Senator Tester. Let’s sign up to join one of their phonebanks this Saturday and every Saturday in August.
- SEND POSTCARDS TO SWING STATE VOTERS TO INCREASE TURNOUT
If we are looking to start postcarding, Postcards to Swing States is sending out 26 million cards to swing state voters. Their research shows a 1% boost in turnout from postcards, an amount that can sometimes decide an election. We can check out their webpage here to learn more and then, if we like, sign up.
- HELP AMERICA VOTE—BE A POLL WORKER
America will need a million poll workers by election day, and many parts of the country are experiencing a shortage of poll workers. These essential servants of democracy help set up and prepare the polling place, welcome voters, verify voter registrations, and distribute ballots. Let’s help make sure election day goes smoothly this year—we can sign up to be poll workers here.

- MA – DOOR-KNOCKING IN NEW HAMPSHIRE
Massachusetts isn’t much of an electoral battleground this November, but we have a major one next door in New Hampshire. New polling has Kamala Harris leading Donald Trump by four points in the Granite State, but it remains up for grabs. The state also has an open seat governor’s race and narrow Republican control of both houses of the legislature, a top target of the DLCC. We’re just a car ride away, so let’s help them out! Cambridge for Kamala is organizing weekly trips north every Saturday to knock doors for the VP and other Dems. We can sign up to join them here.
