New York Times op-ed: “I Don’t Vote”
On July 4, as we celebrated the greatest democracy on earth, the New York Times published an op-ed: “I Don’t Vote.”
A right-wing extremist sneered:
“If patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel, civic duty is surely the first. Some version of the civic-duty line is trotted out by the sort of do-gooder who hands out voter registration forms to strangers.”
To us, that’s not an insult. It’s a challenge.
At Turn PA Blue, we’re proud to hand out voter registration forms – and canvass, call, and text to get swing-state Democrats OUT TO VOTE.
Since our founding, we’ve:
- mobilized 20,000 volunteers
- knocked on 385,000 doors
- sent over 6,000,000 text messages
- made over 5,000,000 phone calls
- wrote over 2,000,000 postcards
- raised over $1,700,000 for candidates
- hosted more than 1,250 trainings and events.
…and this November, we face our most crucial test yet.
Get. Out. The. Vote. Donate to Turn PA Blue’s crucial swing-state organizing today.
