These elections are not just a precursor to the national stage—they are a vital platform where local policies and leadership are shaped. Your vote has the power to influence key decisions that directly impact our community.

Local elections affect our schools, our infrastructure, our public services, and so much more. By making your voice heard, you help ensure that these decisions reflect our values and needs. Every vote casts a ripple through the fabric of our community. Let’s make sure that ripple resonates with the voice of every Oakland County resident.

Absentee Ballot Request Deadline (by mail): August 2, 2024

General Election:

Date: November 5, 2024

Early Voting: Begins on October 26, 2024

Voter Registration Deadline (by mail and online): October 21, 2024

Absentee Ballot Request Deadline (by mail): November 1, 2024

Absentee Ballot Request Deadline (in-person): November 4, 2024

Waterford Democratic Club Meet the Candidates Picnic

Date: July 13, 2024

Time: 4:00 PM

Location: Parkview Pavilion, Waterford Oaks Park

Description: Meet Michigan candidates for the August 6 Primary and November 5 General Election ballots. Enjoy picnic food.

Politics in the Park

Date: July 12, 2024

Time: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Location: Pebble Creek Park, 26300 American Drive

Description: Join the Southfield-Lathrup Village Democratic Club for Politics in the Park, a forum for all candidates for public office who are running to represent the cities of Southfield or Lathrup Village. The event will be held on Friday, July 12th, 2024, from 5 PM to 8 PM at Pebble Creek Park, 26300 American Drive. This is a great opportunity to meet the candidates and learn more about their platforms.
