Let’s spread the word to re-elect Pres. Biden and work to gain Democratic majorities in the Senate and House so we can continue the enormous progress we’ve seen during the Biden-Harris Administration, and gain so much more that is desperately needed.
For the Biden/Harris campaign to succeed requires us to define what this election is about by driving press coverage and public attention to all that the Biden-Harris Administration has done to improve our daily lives.
As Rep. Ocasio-Cortez said, “a vote for a president isn’t a vote for your favorite policies. It’s a vote for who you organize under to push for your favorite policies.” So the question is: Do you want to be organizing under a Biden presidency or a Trump presidency?
What would be the impact on your life of a Biden vs. Trump agenda? It’s a choice between two very different futures, pro-democracy or pro-fascism.
MAGA Republicans want to restrict our civil rights and freedoms. Their agenda basically is to “keep ’em poor, stupid, and sick, and control women”. Republicans know that their efforts to try to impose minority rule are unpopular with most of us.
Despite every effort of the GOP (Greedy Oligarchs Party), President Biden and the Democrats have been able to pass an extraordinary amount of legislation to help the majority of us rather than the top 1% who already have more power and wealth than just about everyone else.
The Biden-Harris Administration and Congressional Democrats have:
- reduced the price of asthma and diabetes medications
- protected ACA healthcare access
- forgiven college loans so people can work to help build a strong economy without crushing debt
- protected Medicare and Social Security
- invested in good jobs, renewable energy, and better roads and bridges
- made wealthy tax cheats pay their fair share
- broken up monopolies for competitive prices
- and so much more!
Biden-Harris Administration accomplishments include:
- Passing the largest climate investment in our nation’s history in the Inflation Reduction Act, and creating the American Climate Corps to bring jobs to 20,000 people in the fight for a greener future with a focus on young Americans;
- Taking on Big Pharma and winning, finally allowing Medicare to negotiate lower prescription drug prices for seniors;
- Confirming Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court in a historic first, as well as qualified federal judges at an unprecedented pace;
- Leading the country through the worst of the COVID crisis through passage of the American Rescue Plan;
- Passing the first meaningful gun safety legislation in 30 years;
- Strengthening protections for LGBTQIA+ Americans;
- Shepherding in the lowest unemployment rate in 50 years and boosting wages for millions of workers; and
- Fighting to reduce the burden of student debt, even in the face of historic opposition from the MAGA-majority Supreme Court.
Let’s send convicted felon Trump to the dustbin of history. Re-elect President Biden, with even bigger majorities in the Senate and House, so that he can accomplish what he has promised to do: codify abortion rights, protect our democractic freedoms, and make our economy work for all. Everything we care about is on the ballot in November. There are more of us than there are of them. When we get out the vote, we win.
