You can RUN for office but you can’t HIDE your abortion bans

Republicans try to run from their abortion bans

“SC Republican says she wouldn’t punish abortions. A bill she supported allowed for death penalty” — The State
“Abortion takes center stage in hotly contested Georgia Supreme Court race” — WABE

How do you make it easy for voters to quicklyget the facts from different blogs, tweets and posts? Use crowdsourcing. Think of WAZE the traffic app. Drivers report accidents and immediately shares the information with other drivers nearby.

The NOT ON OUR WATCH app works like that but collects and shares information about abortion bans, voter suppression and MAGA attacks on democracy. Reports are shown on a map that’s continuously update and easy to search so people can see what’s happening around them on issues that matter to them. Clicking on a dot reveals more details and leads to the original article, post or tweet.

Not On Our Watch

Time is of the essence

Hold them accountable! Voters need to have the facts before elections! Crowdsourcing relies on hundreds of volunteers reporting incidents into a common pool which helps filter out disinformation and billionaire-owned media bias. Crowdsourced reports on the map can be filtered by both Location and Time. Voters can search for reports close to them and filter the search for recently reported incidents.

Crowdsource to fight disinformation

NOT ON OUR WATCH enables people closest to the situation share what they know — either from a personal experience, or something they’ve read and believe deserves more attention. The app is free and easy to use. Pick a category (abortion ban, voter suppression…) and add details. It appears immediately on a map which can be shared with a link or embedded in a website. Use the app in either English or Spanish from a phone or laptop, without installing any software.

Republicans deny their votes to ban abortions

In South Carolina, state Rep. April Cromer is running for reelection—and away from her anti-abortion voting record… It seems that Cromer is for getting that she co-sponsored legislation last year that would have made having an abortion punishable by the death penalty! Abortion, Every Day was the first to break the news about the bill.

The Georgia Supreme Court race is becoming all about abortion: Former U.S. Rep. John Barrow, who launched a long-shot campaign against Justice Andrew Pinson, has made abortion rights a centerpiece of his run… Barrow sued the commission in federal court, making the letter public

“I’ve never declared how I would rule in a case, but I have not hesitated to say what I believe the law is in this matter because that’s what people have a right to know. If you can’t talk about what the election is all about, what’s the point of having an election in the first place.” — Barrow
