Ferndale Pride ParadeWhen: Saturday, June 1st

What: Join us at one of the year’s most vibrant events! OCDP will have a vendor table, and we’re calling for volunteers to help us spread our message of inclusion and equality. It’s a fantastic opportunity to show your support and enjoy the festivities.

🌿 Cranbrook Experience

When: Saturday, June 15thWhat: Join us for an unforgettable day at the stunning Cranbrook Gardens! The DEI Committee of the OCDP invites you to participate in the Cranbrook Experience. Critical Discussion on the Future of Reproductive Health Rights

When: June 3, 2024, at 7 PM

Where: Virtual Discussion

The Women’s Rights Committee of the Oakland County Democratic Party cordially invites you to participate in an urgent and informative discussion titled “The Attack on Reproductive Health.” This event will take place on June 3, 2024, at 7 PM. Our guest speaker, State Representative Samantha Steckloff, will lead the conversation, focusing on recent legislative changes that have significantly impacted access to reproductive healthcare.

Celebrating Progress During Mental Health Awareness Month

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we celebrate significant advancements in mental health care. From President Biden’s national enhancements to Governor Whitmer’s statewide initiatives like the transformative Senate Bill 714, our community is prioritizing mental health like never before. Locally, Oakland County’s upcoming 24/7 emergency mental health clinic in Pontiac represents our dedication to accessible care. Let’s continue to support and expand these vital services, ensuring a healthier future for all residents.

UPCOMING EVENTS

 MDP Legacy Dinner

When: Saturday, June 8th

What: An evening of recognition and celebration, the MDP Legacy Dinner is a must-attend for those passionate about the future of our party. Details on the speakers and program will follow – stay tuned!

 Juneteenth Celebration

When: Tuesday, June 11th

What: Commemorate Juneteenth with us at the OCDP Headquarters. This event promises to be a meaningful gathering, celebrating freedom and reflecting on our journey towards justice and equality for all. 

 Election Day

When: Tuesday, August 6th

What: The day we’ve all been working towards. Remember to vote and help make a difference in our community. Let’s show up in force and advocate for the values we hold dear.

We look forward to seeing you at these events and working together to make a significant impact in our community and beyond. Your support and involvement are what make our efforts possible.

63rd Annual Phil Hart Dinner  

When: Sunday, October 13, 2024 Where: Somerset Inn in Troy

Troy Democrats: Annual Picnic

Date: Saturday, August 10th

Time: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Location: Raintree Park, 3775 John R Road, Troy, MI

Description: An opportunity to gather and reconnect with fellow Democrats.

Waterford Democratic Club at Peacefest 2024

Dates: Saturday, June 8th and Sunday, June 9th

Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Volunteer: Shifts are 90 minutes each. Volunteers also needed for setup on Saturday morning and shutdown at 4:00 PM on Sunday.
