GENERAL MEETING

Saturday, April 27th at 9:00AM

Rockdale County Democratic Committee (RCDC) General meeting will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 9:00AM. 

Our guest speaker is State Representative Doreen Carter, House District 93.

The meeting will be held at the RCDC Headquarters 977 S. Main Street, Suite 8-H, Conyers, GA 30012. Meetings are open to the public and we invite you to join us.

Representative Doreen Carter

n November of 2015, Representative Doreen Carter was elected to serve as the State Representative of House District 92, which includes Rockdale County and the southernmost part of DeKalb County, including a portion of the city of Stonecrest. May 2022, Representative Carter won her re-election to the new House District 93, including counties Newton, Rockdale, and DeKalb. She is a member of the following House committees: Code Revision; Education; Industry and Labor, Small Business Development; and Special Rules. Additionally, Carter was elected by her peers to serve as treasurer of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus and was awarded Freshman Legislator of the Year. Carter was also honored by the Georgia Association of Educators in 2022 as Legislator of the Year.

Referred to as “chief community officer,” Rep. Carter is known for her unwavering support of the East Metro area and for identifying opportunities to improve the lives of residents and businesses in the district. She is an effective leader who advocates for vibrant communities and has a strong interest in education, public safety, and economic development.​

She resides in Lithonia, Georgia with her three sons Roland, Caleb, and Joshua.
