AI innovations in campaigns: RFK Jr.‘s Spoiler Role video admission

“New Bombshell Video Shows RFK Jr.’s New York State Director Admitting Spoiler Role”
“Rita Palma, New York-based campaign official for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is pitching Republican voters to support his independent presidential bid by arguing that Kennedy will help Donald Trump defeat Joe Biden if he’s on the ballot in New York… “get rid of Biden,” which she called her “No. 1 priority,” and make it easier for Trump to win the historically Democratic state.” — CNN
How does a campaign get such news to more people? Quickly? In different languages? With captions? Make the video searchable? Do this with little money or staff? Use AI. We used AI programs to (1) add captions to a clip of the video courtesy Merta Melfa (2) translate it into Spanish (3) make it searchable. This took about an hour to do. Learn more about how to do it here.

AI captions and translates videos
We used a translation engine incorporating technology from Open AI, IBM and Microsoft to first create a transcription. This was manually proofread and then used to generate captions in both English and Spanish. The two videos with English and Spanish captions were uploaded to YouTube.
“The Kennedy voter and the Trump voter, the enemy, our mutual enemy is Biden. Since Biden is counting on us with Bobby in the mix, my my thought is for the Republicans see Bobby right now. He’s pulling from both sides right now… Bobby is the only third party that anybody’s taking seriously…
Most of the Northeast is going to go blue, why wouldn’t we put our vote to Bobby and at least get rid of Biden and get those 28 electoral votes in New York. The card’s a little wrong. It says 26 electoral votes. Give those 28 electoral votes to Bobby rather than to Biden, thereby reducing Biden’s 270 And we all know how that works, right? 270 wins the election.
If you don’t get to two 70, if nobody gets to two 70, then Congress picks the President. So who are they gonna pick? Who are they gonna pick? If it’s a Republican Congress, they’ll pick Trump. So we’re rid of Biden either way.”

How to us AI to make videos (and podcasts) searchable
SayWhen is a DemLabs app that is currently free. It uses AI to make videos and podcasts searchable. SayWhen lets you search for when something was said in the video, rather than having to manually watch the whole video. We searched on the word ‘Congress’ and it returned this bookmark which starts the video at 85.36 seconds. That’s the time Rita Palma from the RFK Jr. campaign explains the scheme to have the Republican Congress elect Trump.

TakeAway: Use AI to get your campaign message to more people. Faster. For less money. On their phone or laptop. In the language they prefer.
