Republicans vs. freedom and democracy

6 mins read

Abortion bans are as cruel as they are deeply unpopular, and the extreme actions of Republicans here in Missouri mean that Democrats have a better chance of winning elections across our state than any time in recent memory.

In the article we posted above, Missouri abortion initiative volunteer Angela Crawford accurately states “I wish everyone would realize how big this topic is. People really minimized it initially, because they didn’t realize the scope.”

Statehouse Republicans also know how unpopular their cruel abortion ban is, and are actively working to make it harder for you to cast your vote in November.

Their attacks on our freedom and even our right to vote are unpatriotic and run directly contrary to our American values. We refuse to be intimidated by their authoritarian attacks on our rights, and we need your help to fight back.

Delegate Selection Mass Meetings

April 11- 18, 2024

Find a Mass Meeting

The first step to going to the National Convention as a Delegate is to be elected as a State-Level Delegate at your County, Township, or Ward mass meeting.

If you would like to run to be elected as a state-level delegate, you must fill out a statement of candidacy for delegate form and submit it to the relevant Mass Meeting Chair or in advance to the Missouri Democratic Party Party Chair, Russ Carnahan via email to delegate@missouridems.org

Those elected as state-level delegates are expected to attend congressional district meetings and the state convention in Columbia, on June 22, 2024.

You will be able to sign the petition to restore reproductive rights at each Democratic meeting and event.
