Friends,
Six months from today is the voter registration deadline in Ohio for the General Election.
There are a few reasons we’re making the push to register voters in Ohio now:
- GOP politicians in Ohio passed one of the most restrictive voter registration laws in the entire country, which keeps any voter from registering in the 30 days before an election – so while other states are making their final registration push late in October, we don’t have that luxury.
- Our Republican Secretary of State has spent his time in office purging millions of voters – young voters, students, rural voters, and voters of color. We have to make sure these voters are registered and ready to vote for Democrats this November.
- And of course, we have critical races on the ballot this year from the U.S. Senate and U.S. House to flipping control of the Ohio Supreme Court.
Thank you,
Liz Walters
