Despite the House’s effort to protect voting rights with voting rights legislation in 2022, its advancement was halted in the Senate by a Republican filibuster, risking our democratic principles.
The enactment of the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis VRAA would restore the critical protections of the Voting Rights Act and safeguard our democracy.
