After years in the minority, we helped Democrats in the PA State House secure the narrowest possible majority in 2022 – 102 Democrats and 101 Republicans.
Since then, every single time a Democratic seat became vacant, we’ve had to win multiple do-or-die special elections.
We’re tired of dreading all-important special elections. The solution is simple: grow the majority beyond one seat so that we have a cushion.
Today, we’re highlighting three red-to-blue candidates who need your help – Cristian Luna (HD-13 Chester), Anna Thomas (HD-137 Northampton), and Anna Payne (HD-142 Bucks).
Meet the three candidates we’re highlighting today:
Cristian Luna (HD-13 Chester) helped domestic violence survivors seek justice as a bilingual legal advocate and now serves in the Chester County Prothonotary’s (clerk of court) office.
Anna Thomas (HD-137 Northampton) served as a student representative on the Bethlehem Area School Board, and is running to fight right-wing attacks on public schools. She’s back for a rematch after coming within 2 points in 2022.
Anna Payne (PA-HD142 Bucks) was born with cystic fibrosis, and wasn’t expected to survive past childhood. Now, she’s a Middletown Township Supervisor running for PA House to lower the cost of healthcare for all.
And, join us March 26 for a virtual training on effective canvassing and get the opportunity to meet these candidates!
