ICYMI: Last week, the Alabama Supreme Court ruled that frozen embryos are human beings and those who destroy them can be held liable for wrongful death.
But this effort to restrict IVF isn’t limited to Alabama, it’s happening right here at home in Ohio. Ohio House Republicans introduced a bill that could ban IVF by recognizing “personhood” from conception.
One of the only things standing in their way from making this bill law? The Ohio Supreme Court. If we want to protect the full range of reproductive healthcare and stop this draconian IVF ban in its tracks, we need to flip our Supreme Court. Will you chip in $5 to our judicial fund to help us secure a Democratic majority this year?
Ohio Republicans are going to do everything they can to ignore the will of Ohioans who voted to protect all reproductive care at the ballot box last November.
They’ll gladly put themselves in our most personal healthcare decisions.
