- DEMAND AMERICAN SUPPORT FOR WORLD-WIDE DEMOCRACYThe Republican party’s inexplicable enabling of Putin’s autocratic Russia is appalling. From the refusal of the MAGA-led House of Representatives to stop Russia from marching through Ukraine, to Trump’s urging Russia “to do whatever the hell they want” to America’s NATO allies, to Tucker Carlson’s manipulative Putin interview, to Trump’s silence on the suspicious, untimely death of Putin opposition leader Alexei Navalny, the Republican party is putting the national security of the United States and its democratic allies at serious risk. Let’s thank President Biden for his unwavering support of NATO and Ukraine, and let’s tell our Members of Congress that Putin apologists and enablers have no place in American government, and we want the Ukraine aid package passed without further delay.
- PASS THE ASSAULT WEAPONS BANSurvivors of recent mass shootings are making another plea to pass the Go Safe Act (S 3369), which would ban the weapons responsible for 9 out of the 10 deadliest shootings since 2016. Let’s tell our MoCs that enough is enough. Assault weapons go far beyond whatever liberties are guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment. Too many innocent people have lost their lives, and the rest of our lives are at stake. No one is safe until we once again ban these weapons.
- MOVEMENT VOTER PROJECT’S POST-SUPER TUESDAY NATIONAL BRIEFINGThe Movement Voter Project turns out voters in pivotal elections by investing our donations in local voter organizing groups, focusing especially on Black, Indigenous, People of Color, LGBTQ+, and immigrant voters.
