Donating Forward for Groups to Do More in ‘24

What a great Fund It Forward get-together here in Davis in person on December 2 and then gathering by Zoom on December 6 with over 220 activists to hear Central Valley Matters (CVM) speakers, including each of the four groups benefiting from their fundraiser.

Our Indivisible Yolo community had a terrific success raising more than $5k for Communities for a New California Action Fund to do more in CA-13 and over $5k for Central Valley Matters funding four wonderful groups on the ground in CA-22. Collectively, CVM exceeded $165k!

Thank you to the nearly 70 folks who attended and/or contributed to one or both and who gave anywhere from $5 to $1,000. If you haven’t donated yet, it’s not too late to donate to the in-district organizations in CA-13 and CA-22.

Strategic giving now to in-district organizations (not to candidates) will help California flip the House in 2024.

Research Team Help Needed

Indivisible Yolo is working every angle to help win CA House Districts in 2024, and we’re looking for people to help on election-year research projects.

We’ll start by helping complete the Blue Voter Guide for California, focusing on the critical Central Valley districts that are essential to regaining control of the House. The Blue Voter Guide is a very popular tool. Voters insert their address and get to see their exact ballot along with endorsing organizations. Young voters, especially, do not like voting blindly and are very appreciative to get this information. When we register students on college campuses, we are able to show them the Blue Voter Guide.

Volunteers are needed to make sure the Blue Voter Guide has information on all races in all jurisdictions. Research can be done on your own time and schedule, there is no minimum commitment. Optional team get togethers will be held to discuss progress and introduce new research projects.

If you are interested in the 2024 Research Team please let use the new 2024 Volunteer Form.

Meet the Candidates series

The road to the House majority runs through California
We have the power, right here in California, to take the Speaker’s gavel out of GOP hands by mobilizing grassroots volunteers statewide. We can do the work to sweep six key seats—five flips and one hold—and stop destructive MAGA stunts. Our state can put Congress back on the path to governing.
The MEET THE CANDIDATE interviews are the first events co-hosted by the brand new California Grassroots Alliance, formed to offer Indivisible and other grassroots volunteers focused six-district strategy, effective tools, and fresh intel. Following each lively 45-minute candidate interview, Indivisible Sonoma County’s Tom Benthin will facilitate a wide-ranging participant discussion about the target district, the candidates, and the election outlook for re-taking the House via California victories.
Bring a friend, list your questions, and get ready to activate!

Melissa Hurtado, CA-22: Dec 14, 7PM on Zoom

RSVP for NorCal/Central Valley: Melissa Hurtado, CA-22 Dec 14 @7pm
