Democratic school board members got sworn in across the state … and they’re already reversing right-wing extremism.
On Monday, triumphant school board members in Pennsylvania were sworn in and immediately got to work righting the wrongs done by Moms for Liberty (M4L) extremists.
In Central Bucks, newly elected Democratic chair Karen Smith was sworn in on banned books.
That night, the now Democratic-controlled school board wasted no time repealing bigoted policies that targeted transgender students, banned books, and forced the removal of pride flags.
The new board also voted to reexamine the legality of a $700,000 severance package approved by the former board for the outgoing right-wing superintendent… and the crowd went wild!
Day ONE and Democrats DELIVER! When we elect them, we CAN have nice things!
One incumbent Democrat who won reelection said, “I acknowledge the hardship and distress faced by our staff, administration and teachers during the last few years. I will work hard to make this a place that supports each of you.”
The Central Bucks community celebrated with a town tailgate party.
The Moms for Liberty drama mamas are in retreat, and Democrats are getting great things done! It’s a new day in Central Bucks and in districts across the state!
