Mecklenburg County holds the key to a Democratic victory in North Carolina. There are more than 330,000 registered Democrats, yet out of 100 counties, Meck came in 93rd in voter turnout in 2020. Building relationships with nonvoting Dems will be essential to winning the state, and Meck County alone could generate as many as 60,000 new Democratic votes in a state Biden lost by 75,000 (1.34 %) in 2020. Relationships take time and resources, so that’s why the NCDP and the Meck Dems have a plan: Hire one field organizer each and reach every corner of Meck County early and often.
Republicans can’t win without North Carolina in 2024.
