Happy Thanksgiving for Democrats and Reproductive Freedom

Kudos to all our Indivisible Yolo and Sister District Yolo progressives who worked hard fundraising and phone banking for Virginia, texting to both Ohio and Virginia and putting in the GOTV effort.

The results give us reason to be grateful this Thanksgiving and hopeful the Democratic winning streak – made all the more probable by the specter of MAGA extremists trying to further the attack on reproductive freedom brought on after the Dobbs decision – will continue into 2024.

Democrats handed Glen Youngkin a humiliating defeat and stopped any plans he had for passing a 15-week abortion ban with a Republican House and Senate. They are now both Blue! Ohio, once again, voted for reproductive freedom and passed a new constitutional amendment to protect them.

Happy Thanksgiving, indeed.

Indivisible Yolo Fundraiser: Let’s Flip the Central Valley Join us December 2, 4-6 PM in Davis

Do you want to wake up on Nov 6, 2024 and know you did all you could to put the House back in Democratic control? We sure do, and we know that the road to winning the House runs through California.

Early organizing and funding is the key to winning elections, so Indivisible Yolo is launching our work here in Yolo County by fundraising for key groups that will be engaging voters in nearby districts.

In CA-13 we’re focused on Communities for a New California (CNC) Action Fund and in CA-22 Central Valley Matters (CVM) is hard at work raising funds for four groups including Valley Voices, Dolores Huerta Action Fund, Delano Guardians and the Community Water Center.

Register now and donate to these groups:

November 28 is Giving Tuesday, but you don’t have to wait! We didn’t. Indivisible Yolo dipped into our Treasury and donated $500 to Central Valley Matters because we know just how important early money is to winning in 2024. And now we’re asking you to help in whatever way you can.

We look forward to seeing you on December 2nd.

Meet the Candidates- California Grassroots Alliance NorCal series

The road to the House majority runs through CA-13

We have the power, right here in California, to take the Speaker’s gavel out of GOP hands by mobilizing grassroots volunteers statewide. The California Grassroots Alliance was formed to help  us do the work to sweep six key seats—five flips and one hold—and stop destructive MAGA stunts. Our state can put Congress back on the path to governing. In 2022, CA-13 was the most competitive district in the state. We’re already registering voters and canvassing – so it’s time to meet the candidates.

The next MEET THE CANDIDATE interview is November 27 at 7 PM to meet Adam Gray running in CA-13.

Following a lively 45-minute candidate interview, Indivisible Sonoma County’s Tom Benthin will facilitate a wide-ranging participant discussion about the target district, the candidates, and the election outlook for re-taking the House via California victories.

Bring a friend and get ready to activate!
