How billionaires have rigged the system
Start by allowing dark money into politics so billionaires can fund their favorite politician. Supreme Court passes Citizens United.
Allow racist voter suppression to make it harder for low income and people of color to vote. This gives the rich and powerful a louder voice.
Roberts Supreme Court guts the Voting Rights Act and allows racist gerrymandering.
Bend the rules to stop qualified justices and then stack the Supreme Court with right wing extremists.
Mitch McConnell blocks hearing for Merrick Garland and then rushes to appoint Kavanaugh, Barrett and Gorsuch.
Take Supreme Court justices on luxury vacations and give them other gifts.
Thomas and Alito pass rulings that benefit their billionaire benefactors.
Fund conservative activists to bring lawsuits in front of GOP packed courts with Trump appointees.
Strip women, people of color and low income Americans of their freedoms.
Repeat the cycle.

SFFA has spent less than $8 million on its affirmative action suits against Harvard and the University of North Carolina, according to Blum. From 2015 to 2020 — the last year for which filings are available — SFFA received more than $8.5 million in contributions to fund their legal battles. Public filings show conservative fund DonorsTrust contributed $2.5 million to SFFA from 2017 to 2019. Their largest contribution — a $1.5 million donation that was more than 50 percent of SFFA’s funding that year — came in 2018. The Searle Freedom Trust also contributed a significant chunk of SFFA’s overall donations, with $500,000 in contributions annually from 2017 to 2019.” – The Crimson
