The FDP National Voter Registration Day Toolkit is HERE!
September 19, 2023, is National Voter Registration Day and the Florida Democratic Party is kicking off its new voter registration program with a day of action and statewide press launches.
Following the successful Take Back Florida Tour, we’re calling on all county parties, clubs, and caucuses to organize voter registration events across to register new voters and re-enroll Democrats in vote-by-mail.
We are asking organizations to stand up events in their county and to work strategically and collaboratively with each other within their county.
Organizations can work on a single event as a coalition or agree to have various events in different parts of the county.
FDP will also coordinate with counties with no DEC. To this end, the FDP Voter Registration Director will work with specific groups to be able to cover neighboring counties.
The following Organizing Guide includes tips on planning a voter registration event, review of the Florida online voter registration system, the Reach App, and official guidance on recent changes to voter registration laws and a messaging and press outreach guide.
Our goals for National Voter Registration day are to:
Jumpstart our Voter Registration efforts to #TakeBackFL in 2024Register as many voters as possibleTest run the Reach App as we work toward full implementation of our VR and Community Engagement programsEnsure we have at least one event in each county. We are not leaving any county behind.
Please use this toolkit as a guide for your National Voter Registration Day event. We will go over this toolkit during our National Voter Registration Day trainings which will be offered three times including tonight, Thurs, Sept. 7 at 7pm over Zoom. Register here.
