Democratic Insider

September 3, 2023

Friends,

It’s Labor Day weekend, the unofficial end to summer, but an important holiday for Democrats and the hardworking families who built this country.

As we look to the future, it could not be more important to recognize the sacrifice built on the backs of working families. The Missouri Democratic Party recognizes your accomplishments and are laser focused on ensuring we’re electing leaders who advocate for them.

Thanks to Democrats, we have nearly 10 million new jobs — more jobs than have ever been created in history since a new administration took office.

Wages are up.  Unemployment remains near a 50-year low.  And the big reason for all this is the American Rescue Plan Democrats in Congress passed – and President Biden signed into law shortly after taking office.

The future of our Unions are strong thanks to Democrats and President Biden.

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is hosting its Fall Meeting in St. Louis from Wednesday, October 4 (setup) through Saturday, October 7 this year and we need your help with exciting volunteer opportunities!

This event is a fun and exciting opportunity to watch DNC Members and leadership in action, and it will be a historic meeting as the future of the presidential primaries is considered.

Please fill out this Volunteer Interest Form, if you are interested in volunteering. We will be in touch soon with more information and to sign up for specific shifts.

Reach out to dncmeetingvols@dnc.org with any questions.

NEWS

Yet another poll just showed that Hawley’s approval rating is below 50%

It’s clear that there is growing momentum to fire him next year and elect a new Democratic senator to represent us in Washington, DC. 47% surveyed approve of Hawley, compared to 45% that strongly disapprove of his job performance. 8% are not sure.

Join Democrats to reach that 8% and organize and #FireJoshHawley

A lawsuit is seeking to block initiative petitions allowing local gun regulations. Part of the argument is the fiscal note doesn’t include Andrew Bailey’s claim that local gun regulations will cost the state $700M and increase rapes & murders. #moleg
