Matching Funds Over Halfway to May 31 Goal

Thanks to generous donors we’re now more than halfway to our $500 goal for Matching Funds.

Now, we still have a few days to maximize the opportunity for a $500 matching grant from Indivisible National. Indivisible Yolo is 100% volunteer-based. As we look out over the 2023-2024 electoral cycle we’re looking to replenish our reserves to fund member events.

If you haven’t had the chance to help us meet this match, please donate now using the ActBlue link – and consider making it a monthly donation – it’s easier on your budget and better for our budget planning!

Help us continue our voter registration efforts here in Yolo County as well as the Central Valley and Nevada; as well as our outreach to allies to promote progressive policies and prepare for a busy 2024 election season. And, thank you!

Central Valley Matters fundraiser update:

We are thrilled to announce that Central Valley Matters (CVM) exceeded its goal and met the $50,000 match for a total over $100,000 to support the four grassroots organizations in Tulare, Kings and Kern Counties. Some of us got together in person at a “watch party” to join the fundraiser. We are so proud that Indivisible Yolo’s contribution was $3,090! We set a goal of $5,000, and although we didn’t make it, we came very close. There will be more opportunities to help CVM fundraise for the essential work to support the communities in the Central Valley and flip congressional district CA-22 in Nov 2024.

MAGA default crisis: stay strong and reject hostage takers

Contact just your own Representative:

Example call script (your own words are best!): (Note: Sen. Feinstein is back in D.C. now)
Hi, my name is [your name] and my zip code is [zip code]. I’m a voter and a constituent of [Sen. Feinstein/Sen. Padilla/Rep. Thompson/Rep. Matsui]. I’m calling to thank the [Senator/Representative] for rejecting MAGA efforts to create a crisis and sink our economy if we don’t give in to their demands. MAGA extremists voted to default on the national debt unless we eliminate 108,000 teachers’ jobs, taking away educational support for 32 million kids. And they demanded cuts to Medicaid that would put the healthcare of 21 million people in jeopardy, including seniors in nursing homes and children with disabilities. Thank you for rejecting their threats to default on the national debt, and please stay strong.
