Matching Fund Donations Needed by May 31

Indivisible Yolo is 100% volunteer-based. Our electoral and activist work requires modest sums of money – and thanks to the generosity of a few monthly donors and many dedicated volunteers, we can maintain our website, send out a weekly newsletter and organize our local, state and federal advocacy and electoral teams.
Now, we have a great opportunity for a $500 matching grant from Indivisible National – and we’d like your help in meeting this match!
As we look out over the 2023-2024 electoral cycle we know we’ll need to to do more to win back the House and regain a positive footing for progressive changer, we’re looking to replenish our reserves to fund member events; voter registration efforts here in Yolo County as well as the Central Valley and Nevada; and continue our outreach to allies to promote progressive policies and prepare for a busy 2024 election season.
So, please donate now using the ActBlue link – and consider making it a monthly donation – it’s easier on your budget and better for our budget planning!

Call Bill Dodd and urge him to end pretextual traffic stops:State Sen. Dodd: (916) 651-4003 (Sacramento) (email)Example call script (your own words are best!):
Hello, I’m a member of Indivisible Yolo and I’m calling to ask Senator Dodd to support SB 50. Pretextual stops inflict devastating harm on Californians of color—including dehumanization, degraded public health, economic extraction through fees and fines, physical violence through uses of force, and devaluation of life. SB 50 will help protect Californians of color from unnecessary harm and help ensure that public dollars dedicated to community safety are being used resourcefully. I urge your support.

Example call script (your own words are best!): (all but Sen. Feinstein)
Hi, my name is [your name] and my zip code is [zip code]. I’m a voter and a constituent of [Sen. Padilla/Rep. Thompson/Rep. Matsui]. I’m calling to thank the [Senator/Representative] for rejecting MAGA efforts to create a crisis and sink our economy if we don’t give in to their demands. MAGA extremists voted to default on the national debt unless we eliminate 108,000 teachers’ jobs, taking away educational support for 32 million kids. And they demanded cuts to Medicaid that would put the healthcare of 21 million people in jeopardy, including seniors in nursing homes and children with disabilities. Thank you for rejecting their threats to default on the national debt, and please stay strong.
Sen. Feinstein:
Hi, my name is [your name] and my zip code is [zip code]. I’m a voter and a constituent of [Sen. Feinstein]. I’m calling to urge the Senator to take a stand against MAGA efforts to create a crisis and sink our economy if we don’t give in to their demands. We need someone in the Senate who will represent Californians and vote to reject the demands of these hostage-takers.
