Occupy Tallahassee
!! Indivisible groups from all across Florida are joining forces with partners like the ACLU, Florida NOW, and more for an EMERGENCY call to action !!
A NEAR TOTAL ban on abortion (HB 7/SB 300) has quickly moved through the legislature and will be heard ASAP, both in its last House committee as well as on the Senate floor. It is 100% expected to pass. WHETHER YOU HAVE A UTERUS OR NOT, PLEASE DON’T LET THEM LEGISLATE OUR BODIES WITHOUT A FIGHT!
STEP 1: Email the ENTIRE SENATE in just a few clicks to demand they vote NO on the abortion ban.
STEP 2: WE ARE CALLING ON SUPPORTERS OF BODILY AUTONOMY TO MEET IN TALLAHASSEE MONDAY MORNING! #OccupyTally
WHAT: Occupy space near the Capitol Tallahassee to protest the near total abortion ban extremists in Florida’s legislature are moving forward with. Meals and beverages will be provided, we are committed to ensuring both meat and vegan options are available.
WHEN: Starting April 3rd at 8am and going as long as we can and until the abortion ban is passed or killed in the legislature. Although our opposition has locked in a majority of politicians, we must not let abortion be nearly totally banned without resistance!
WHERE: Kleman Plaza Park – 306 S Duval St, Tallahassee
We are going to fight back in person at the Capital by staying and occupying space at Kleman Plaza Park, just across from the Capital. Once again it is time for us to FIGHT!
Please get your camping gear together and join us in Tallahassee as soon as you can. We suggest a sleeping bag and a tarp, but no tents as they could be taken by law enforcement.
Whether this has call to action has you prepping your sleeping bag for a night under the stars — or you can only join us for a day, please just join us. There are plenty of nearby hotels for lodging as well if you can come for multiple days but aren’t able or willing to sleep out. We will be staying as long as we can or until the abortion ban has passed through the legislature.
WE HAVE A PERMIT FOR THE DAY, BUT WE MAY BE ASKED TO LEAVE AT NIGHT. IF THAT HAPPENS, IT WILL BE UP TO EACH INDIVIDUAL TO DECIDE IF THEY ARE COMFORTABLE RISKING ARREST FOR THIS CAUSE.
Come when you can, leave when you must!
This multiple day demonstration – #OccupyTally – has it’s own social media and registration form.

Take Action: The MAGA Majority Is Promising To Hold The Economy Hostage
This page is Indivisible National’s new home for everything concerning the MAGA effort to throw our nation into chaos by forcing our government to default on our debts in order to cut Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. The current focus is on getting Democratic members of the House of Representatives to sign on to the Boyle, Jayapal, Kuster letter opposing the MAGA Default Crisis and refusing to cut vital services. None of our Pinellas County representatives have signed on.
Anna Paulina Luna You Oppose the MAGA Default Scheme
Republicans in Congress are considering a plan that will drive the U.S. into default. The “debt prioritization” scheme (read: hedge fund protection scheme) proposed by the MAGA majority has already advanced through the House Ways and Means Committee, and will now face the full House for consideration. Although Republicans on the committee are trying to sell this as “default prevention,” in reality this approach would basically commit the U.S. to a scenario where MAGA extremists in Congress get to determine which bills get paid and which ones don’t, and would put critical payments to hospitals, schools, and social safety net programs at the back of the line.
Those of you in the new CD-13 please call your new Republican representative.
