PA House elects first woman speaker!

It took 240 years.

The Pennsylvania House of Representatives has just elected its first woman and second black Speaker of the House: Joanna McClinton!

Speaker Joanna McClinton with Turn PA Blue volunteers, supporters, and friends!

Thousands of Turn PA Blue supporters helped make history.

Since 2017, TPAB helped Democrats climb from a low of 82 out of 203 seats in the PA House to a 102-101 majority.

Speaker McClinton has been with us for this entire journey and she always believed, even when people thought flipping the state house was a pipe dream.

Speaker McClinton is a true leader, an inspiration and a total badass. She has always shown up for us and the people of PA, and now it’s our turn to make sure we protect her and the majority!

Together, we ended over a decade of Republican control of the PA House. Now, we can stop abortion bans, extremist gun laws, and election theft in a crucial swing state.

Together we must work to keep our precious majority and protect our amazing Speaker so she can serve for many years to come.

We didn’t help win the PA House by showing up at the last minute.

We worked tirelessly on state and local elections. Every election. Every cycle. Every year.

And, it was all funded with sustained year-round giving by dedicated supporters like you.

WE DID IT!
