You should be immensely proud because you proved that we are not prisoners of history, but captains of our fate and that of our democracy. That is all we need to win over the long term.

A Letter from PEG to You
We are grateful to all of our brave men and women who protect our country. Today, we are also thankful for all of you who worked the polls, reached out to friends and family, canvassed, were social media warriors, collected petition signatures and did all the other things, big and small, that contributed to this wonderful morning. Among the many stories to be proud of Michigan, we are so proud of college students who waited in lines up to six hours long to vote and suburban women who mobilized us to get information out about Prop 2 and Prop 3. We received this letter from a PEG reader and we think it applies to all of you who SHOWED UP this year: I don’t believe anyone really understands the gravity of the work you do tirelessly all year long. The importance of saving this country is a huge burden to bear on a single person’s shoulders every day of their life, but you do it with much love, grace, and compassion. Your great effort does not go unnoticed by me. I marvel at your herculean fortitude to withstand the pressures of the current political climate you are trying to change. The world keeps from cracking because of you.
Michigan wins big
Michigan had many wins at the local and state level, including the re-election of Michigan Supreme Court Justice Richard Bernstein. Here are a few more of the major wins for our state, compliments of Michigan Radio and Metro Detroit News.
