Don’t forget to sign up to circulate our all-important Voter Guides, and circulate the Mobilize link far and wide. We need 400 volunteers for 2-hour shifts between ~Sept. 20 and ~October 5. Thanks for helping us get this indispensable tool into the hands of voters!

Vote Bernstein & Bolden In to the MI Supreme Court

To keep our majority Michigan Resistance is reaching out to Dem voters with the chant:

‘Bernstein and Bolden on the Back of the Ballot’

The GOP incumbent Brian Zahra is running against Bernstein and Bolden for re-election to an 8-year term. Zahra’s opposition to the recent Michigan Supreme Court decision to put Props 2 and 3 on the ballot shows how willing he is to override the will of the voters to advance a partisan agenda. It also shows how important the court is to maintaining democracy. That’s why we need to get out the vote for Bernstein and Bolden!

Here’s what you and your friends & neighbors need to know about Zahra:

  • Member of the conservative/libertarian group the Federalist Society
  • Appointed by Rick Snyder
  • Heavily backed by the DeVos family, the insurance industry, and the NRARuled that a woman who was raped by a deputy at the county jail had no grounds to sue. (Source: Daily Kos)
  • Voted with the minority in a 4-3 decision that claimed school districts didn’t have the right to ban guns from their schools.  (Source: Daily Kos)
