The Firsts: Peltola and Beasley

1 min read

By now, you all heard about the historic win by Mary Peltola, the first Native from Alaska to win U.S. House seat, flipping a red seat to blue.  If Cheri Beasley wins this November, she will be the first African American (and first person of color) from North Carolina to win U.S. Senate seat, flipping red seat to blue.
We are textbanking to Arizona, Nevada, New Hamshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.  We are textbanking to youth.  We are writing postcards to Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin.  Join us to keep U.S. Congress blue this election.  Let’s save our country, our democracy, and ourselves.
