We had a busy week on the campaign trail, so let’s jump right in.
Democrats are DELIVERING
Y’all better be pumped. President Joe Biden is taking the fight to MAGA Republicans, our razor-thin majorities in Congress are racking up HUGE victories for working families, and our candidates are defying expectations across the map.
Let’s take a minute to review our recent legislative success:
- $10,000 in debt cancellation per borrower
- $20,000 in debt cancellation for pell grant recipients
- 90% of debt cancellation benefits will go to borrowers earning less than $75,000
- lowers the cost of prescription drugs, healthcare and energy
- largest investment to fight climate change in American history
- makes the largest corporations pay their fair share of taxes
- revitalizes domestic manufacturing
- creates 3,000+ jobs here in Ohio
- strengthens American supply chains
- fastest job growth in American history
- lowest unemployment rate in 50 years
- 75 days of continuous falling prices
- enhanced background checks
- disarms domestic abusers
- largest expansion of benefits and services for veterans suffering from toxic exposure and their families in 30 years
And let’s take a minute to review our recent political success:
- Since Dobbs, women are out registering men by 11 points
- New women registrants are modeled to by +15 points Democratic

Tim Ryan launched a new ad this week highlighting how J.D. Vance used his sham non-profit to promote a “Big Pharma funded mouthpiece” who called OxyContin a “godsend.”
And, Ohio Democrats took control of J.D. Vance’s defunct nonprofit website, OurOhioRenewal.com. Give that site a visit to read about the failed promises of Vance’s nonprofit and the damage it caused to Ohio families struggling with addiction.
J.D. Vance is a fraud. He has proven time and time again that he has no principles, and he cannot be trusted to be our next Senator.
Mike DeWine is Shaking in His [Extremist] Boots
Last week after Nan released two new TV ads, “Adding” and “Math,” the Republican Governors Assocation’s super PAC launched its own TV ad campaign to attack Nan. RGA knows that Mike DeWine is in trouble and they are scared of Nan Whaley’s momentum.
Mike DeWine has $2 million in dark money pouring into Ohio to attack Nan Whaley, but it has not stopped her. A recent poll shows the race for Ohio Governor within the margin of error.
Joe Biden Levels the Playing Field
On Wednesday, President Biden announced the Federal Government will cancel between $10,000 to $20,000 of student loan debt. This is a great step toward leveling the playing field and helping Ohio families get ahead.
The plan also includes a new income-driven repayment plan and will revamp the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. These steps will lower monthly loan payments and give more Ohioans credit toward paying off their student loans.
For too long, Ohioans have been shackled by student loan debt that prevents them from pursuing their dreams. This is yet another example of the Biden administration continuously helping Ohioans save money and stimulate the economy.
Endorsement Alert
Julia Louis Dreyfus has long been a supporter of President Biden and the Democrats. But this week, she used her platform to elevate Ohio’s slate of Supreme Court candidates by endorsing Justice Jennifer Brunner, Judge Marilyn Zayas and Judge Terri Jamison.
Ohio is one of only two states in the country with the opportunity to flip control of the state supreme court this year. The stakes are too important, we need your help.
