Oak Park/Huntington Woods Dems Club: Monthly Meeting & Candidate Forum

Thursday, July 21st (7pm)

The Oak Park/Huntington Woods Dems Club is hosting candidates for the Michigan Supreme Court, Oakland County Court of Appeals, and Oakland County 6th Circuit Court. Join the OPHW Dems Club to hear from your candidates, as well as the MDP Deputy Director of Voter Protection, Jake Halpin, who will speak on election integrity as we head into midterms. The meeting will be held in person at the Huntington Woods Library Knox Room (lower level).

Education Subcommittee: Meet the Candidates Friday, July 22nd (6pm – 8pm)CALLING ALL CANDIDATES FOR OAKLAND COUNTY BOARDS OF EDUCATION! OCDP’s Education Subcommittee invites you to a virtual meet-and-greet on Friday, July 22nd at 6pm. Introduce yourself to your constituents and contribute to our conversation surrounding education and school safety. Candidate introductions start at 6pm. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee: Monthly Meeting

Join the OCDP LGBTQ+ Committee for our July meeting at 215 West in Fabulous Ferndale. July 28th at 7 pm. It’s almost time for the August primary, and we’re extending an open invitation to all Democratic and non-partisan candidates running for offices in Oakland County to attend this month’s meeting and talk about their campaigns. We’ll also be working on planning a post-primary meet-and-greet social event! OCDP’s Annual General Membership PicnicSunday, July 31st (12:30pm – 2:30pm)Each year the Oakland County Democratic Party gathers its General Membership to report on our progress and prepare our party for upcoming elections. Please join us on July 31st, two days before the Michigan Primary Election, to reorganize and recharge with your fellow OCDP Members. Catering and refreshments provided. Attendees MUST REGISTER on Mobilize.

Senators Byer and Chang: Knock Doors

Wednesday, July 13th (2pm – 5pm)

Reelecting Senator Rosemary Bayer is key to winning a Democratic majority in the Michigan Senate. She won in 2018 because her campaign knocked 40,000 doors! And she’s got thousands of new doors to knock on in 2022. Join us to talk to voters!

We’ll meet in Plymouth to help out. Look for the Bayer Mobile!

Once you sign up, the meeting location will be provided before the event.

Haley Stevens for Congress: Canvassing in Southwest Oakland

Saturday, July 16th (10am, 1pm, 4pm shift starts)

Come knock doors with the Haley Stevens campaign team on Saturday, July 16 as we canvass in Farmington, Farmington Hills, and Novi! With the election closer than ever, we need all hands on deck to engage with the 11th district community! If you don’t know how to canvass, no problem. You will be trained on site; it is a very simple process. Shifts will begin at 10am, 1pm, and 4pm. We look forward to seeing you there!

AAPIs for Whitmer: Meet and Greet

Thursday, July 21st (4pm – 5:30pm)

Governor Whitmer is inviting you to an AAPIs for Whitmer Meet and Greet in Oakland County with Lt. Governor Gilchrist. This is a private invitation only with chosen participants. Interested parties must fill out the Google Form to be selected, and an address will be shared with you the day before the event.
