Introducing OCDP’s New Chair

The Oakland County Democratic Party is elated to introduce our new party Chair, Nancy Quarles. On Tuesday evening, the Executive Committee elected Nancy by unanimous consent.

Nancy received her B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Detroit and an M.A. in Public Administration from Central Michigan University. Nancy served on the Oakland County Board of Commissioners from 1995 until November 5, 1996, when she was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives. She represented the 36th District from 1997 to 2002. Nancy was again elected to the Oakland County Board of Commissioners in November 2010 and currently serves on this board. She is also a professor at Central Michigan University.

Needless to say, there are very few people so qualified to lead and serve others. We have been blessed with Nancy’s knowledge and expertise as an Officer-at-Large and wish her the best of luck in this new endeavor. Please join us today in welcoming Nancy to her new position!
