This year, Pennsylvania has a budget surplus — billions of dollars that could be invested in making housing more affordable, supporting small businesses, and building a more equitable future for every single Pennsylvanian. Yet some legislators want to hide it away or use it to cut taxes for large corporations. We’re going to Harrisburg to demand a people’s budget that helps our communities thrive!
Join us at the We The People–PA “Rally for a People’s Budget” TOMORROW at 11:30 a.m., on June 14, in the Capitol Rotunda!

We’ll provide an opportunity to lobby your legislator after the rally is over.
Compared to other states, we underfund spending–on K-12 and higher education, child care, housing, health care, and public health.
Meanwhile, wages stagnate, rents and the price of gas goes up, and school buildings are crumbling.
Legislators can deliver what we need without raising taxes now or down the road. If this isn’t the moment to use our funds to help Pennsylvanians, when will that time come?
This is a critical time to enact a state budget that provides the funds we need. We need to equitably fund our schools, make post-secondary education affordable, and reduce the cost of child care, housing, and gas. We need to help businesses still hurting from the pandemic. We just need the political will to do it.
We need you to help motivate our legislators to do right by us, their constituents.
Join us at our rally in Harrisburg TOMORROW on June 14th!
