How to View Thursday’s Hearing
JANUARY 6TH HEARINGS WATCH EVENT
We need everyone to learn the truth about what lead up to and happened on Jan 6. Our country was and is under attack. Republicans are waging an ongoing campaign to sabotage American elections and attack our freedom to vote.
These hearings are critical to the future of our democracy. Our challenge is to make the public care about the intricate details of an attack that’s more than a year old.
From Rep Liz Cheney (Rep, member of the committee)
“… people must pay attention. People must watch, and they must understand how easily our democratic system can unravel if we don’t defend it.”

Other ways to view hearings, starting at 2 pm HST:
The committee usually live-streams its hearings, and most major TV news stations will be airing at least Thursday’s hours-long hearings in full: ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC and CNN plan to. Fox News is the only major news network to decide not to, instead saying it will continue with its regular, primetime coverage and talk about the hearings “as warranted.”
Because Fox News will not cover the hearings, it is important that all citizens know how to access the hearings. Please share information with your friends and family members.
Mark your calendar:
Next hearing is scheduled for Monday, June 13th at 10 am EST.
Yikes that’s a bit early for us! Gotta check out other alternatives.
Background Info
There will be as many as eight hearings, the first on June 9, with some scheduled for prime time and others during the day.
Thompson told reporters as he left the Capitol last Thursday that the public will hear from outside witnesses, people “we’ve not heard from before,” adding that “their testimony will be on point as to why this investigation was so important.”
“We’ll tell the story about what happened,” he said. “We will use a combination of witnesses, exhibits, things that we have through the tens of thousands of exhibits we’ve interviewed and looked at, as well as the, you know, hundreds of witnesses we’ve deposed or just talked to in general.”
Thompson also told reporters that the committee will ask at least three GOP lawmakers by the end of the week to come before the committee, including Republicans serving in both the House and Senate.
Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., a key member of the committee, said last week that the hearings will be dramatic and include explosive revelations that the panel has been piecing together behind the scenes for months after interviewing more than 800 witnesses.
“The hearings will tell a story that will really blow the roof off the House,” Raskin said at an event hosted by Georgetown University’s Center on Faith and Justice in Washington.
The committee aims to release a report on its investigation by the end of the summer or early fall, Raskin said.
“This was not a coup directed at the president,” Raskin said. “It was a coup directed by the president against the vice president and against the Congress.
With everything going on in the world, it would be easy for people who aren’t as engaged in politics to block out the hearings.
It would be very easy for them to simply not learn the truth about this major attack on our democracy or continued threats to our right to determine the future of our country.
That’s why we need to make sure these hearings break through the busy news cycle and reach the American public! It’s the only way to hold Trump Republicans accountable.
There are watch events scheduled all around the country. Check out the full list of events and find one that interests you!
