

HARRISBURG, PA– The PA Budget and Policy Center’s 2022 Budget and Policy Summit concludes tomorrow – Thursday, April 7th – with a final workshop session beginning at 1PM, followed by a panel discussion at 2:30 featuring five progressive champions in the state House of Representatives.
This Thursday’s workshop session will feature two workshops, focused on fixing Pennsylvania’s regressive tax system and leveraging federal infrastructure funds to improve jobs and benefit communities across the state. Details about the workshops are included below.
The Summit’s closing plenary session takes place from 2:30 to 3:30, and will be a panel discussion featuring five state representatives, moderated by Corinna Vecsey Wilson, Esq. More information is available below.

CLOSING PLENARY SESSION: LEGISLATIVE PANEL DISCUSSION | 2:30-3:30PM:
The legislative panel discussion will be the closing plenary of the Summit, with five state representatives discussing their respective proposals to invest the billions of dollars in unused American Rescue Plan funds and surplus revenue to support Pennsylvanians who are struggling to make ends meet.
The moderator for the discussion is veteran journalist, lawyer, and lobbyist Corinna Vecsey Wilson, Esq., the founder and president of Wilson500, Inc., and there will be opportunities for Summit attendees to submit questions for the panel. We we look forward to a lively and thought-provoking discussion with these progressive champions:

“Advancing Democracy for Pennsylvania’s Future” is the theme for our all-virtual 2022 Pennsylvania Budget and Policy Summit. In addition to focusing on public policies that make it possible for all of us to thrive, we’ll also be highlighting the need to defend the democratic principles that allow all of us to participate in choosing leaders who will implement the policies that benefit everyone.
