Among the banned materials are Malala Yousafzai’s autobiography, children’s books about Barack and Michelle Obama, Hidden Figures (based on the popular movie), and even a Sesame Street Town Hall on racism.
Defeating right-wing extremists on PA’s School Boards this November will send a message nationwide that we won’t tolerate book bans and attacks on women and people of color.

MAKE CALLS
- Join us on Tuesday, September 21, from 5:30-7 PM to make calls for the Democratic Central York School Board candidates. The current school board has made national news by banning books about diversity, equity and inclusion. We need to get these people out of office on November 2nd. We’ll be joined by local organizers and volunteers who can answer our questions while we dial. SIGN UP HERE.
