ACTION REQUIRED.
CALL ED CASE AND TELL HIM NOT TO UNDERMINE PRESIDENT BIDEN’S AGENDA
Nine House Democrats – including ours – are causing problems for Pres. Biden, House Leader Pelosi and the People of Hawaii and the U.S.
We Need All Indivisible Hawaii Members to Call U.S. Rep Ed Case’s Office Today and
Daily for the Next Few Weeks
WHY IS A CALL REQUIRED?
On Nov. 3, 2020, Ed Case (D) won the seat for the 1st Congressional District of Hawaii. The results show that the Democratic candidate was clearly the favorite.
- Ed Case (D), 72.00%
- Ron Curtis (R), 28.00%
Though the majority of us voted for Ed as a a Democratic candidate. In reality, he is acting more and more like a Republican despite our votes.
Nancy Pelosi is right. We need the American Jobs and Families Plan to truly take on the climate crisis and meet the needs of working families.
But a group of nine House Democrats—including ours—are endangering the plan. They want the House to move first on a Senate deal that does not adequately fight climate change, ignores our real human infrastructure needs like child care, health care and citizenship—and lets the rich and corporations off the hook. This move is unhelpful, counterproductive, embarrassing for Hawaii’s residents and dangerous for our country.
Call Representative Ed Case at (202) 225-2726. People from both Hawaii Congressional Districts are encouraged to call. When you reach an aide, leave the following message:
Hello, my name is your name calling from zip code your zip code in Hawaii. The bipartisan infrastructure deal that passed the Senate does not adequately fight climate change, ignores our real human infrastructure needs and lets the rich and corporations off the hook. That’s why I support Nancy Pelosi’s plan to VOTE FIRST on the American Jobs and Families Plan. We need a better infrastructure bill.
WHAT ELSE CAN YOU DO TO HELP?
We invite all Indivisible Hawaii members to join in a ZOOM call at 5 pm, Tuesday, August 17th. People from both of Hawaii’s Congressional Districts are encouraged to join us. The ZOOM invite will be sent soon and will include an RSVP link.
The objective of the meeting will be to explain the issue, review our strategy and enlist help with implementing the strategy.
THIS IS OUR CHANCE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR HAWAII RESIDENTS AND ALL OF OUR FELLOW AMERICANS.
