Take Action – January 6 still matters
We hope you’re well, easing back into pre-pandemic life — we all want to put the long, dark winter behind us. But not so fast, please — our government must deal with the Jan. 6 attempted coup. Our action this week: Tell your Members of Congress to push for investigations and to hold those responsible to account, especially those who abused positions of power. We call it “Truth and Consequences.” Please take action, today, before those still in power and those behind the scenes do more harm.
Jan. 6 coup attempt: We need truth & consequences
Deadline: ASAP – Republican Members of Congress who were part of the Jan. 6 insurrection against our democracy want the People to forget what they did, while they double down on racist despotism and punish anyone in their ranks who speaks the truth. Tell your Members of Congress: Don’t work with members who turned their backs on democracy! And tell them we need full investigations led by Democrats; prosecutions of those involved; and a resolution to expel the insurrectionist GOP Members. Find more info & call scripts in our article.

We Could Not Make This Up
Pesky virus means headaches for the Tokyo Olympics, but fear not, IEB’s Sports & Politics Issue is here with Caitlyn Jenner, who cleverly calls her Gov. campaign her “most important race yet.” Her opponents: Gov. Gav. Newsom and trans girls in sports. Caitlyn, looks like you took up that last position same time you started running for governor, any comment? Or how about this: did Caitlyn vote in 2020? The record says yes but she says no — Caitlyn, is participating in democracy a hurdle for your campaign? Let’s go to Megan Rapinoe, who says of Jenner, “You were an exceptional athlete. You’re not an exceptional politician.” Rapinoe scores again!! The crowd goes wild, and that’s all for sports today, folks.
