12th District Dems
Thursday April 8
The 12th District monthly meeting will take place on April 8th at 7 pm, via Zoom. We will continue our discussion from last month about the redistricting process, this time looking at it from a Criminal Justice Reform lens.
Kevin Karpiak, Professor of Sociology, Anthropology and Criminology at EMU, and Natalie Holbrook, Director of the American Friends Service Committee’s Criminal Justice program in Michigan, will engage us in a discussion on where people who are incarcerated should be counted when it comes to drawing new district lines and how we can fight against their disenfranchisement.
