Introducing Myself

Hi Friends —

I’m Dr. Theresa Brooks, and earlier this month I was appointed by our OCDP Chair, Jody LaMacchia, to serve as the Chair of the Finance Committee. This means, it’s my job, and the job of my fellow committee members, to work with Jody to raise the financial resources required to carry out our mission. For those of you that don’t know me, I’m a physician from Troy and was recently elected to the Troy City Council. I know first-hand what it’s like to fundraise for a local campaign, and am so excited to be able to build the resources within the OCDP needed to support local candidates throughout Oakland County. 

At the end of each month, our committee evaluates our fundraising progress, and if we fall short of our internal benchmarks, it could mean we will have to scale back our support for local candidates this fall. Will you chip in today to keep us on track and ensure we reach our January fundraising target? 

I’m looking forward to working with you to make the OCDP an engine that supports and elects Democrats in every corner of our county. And, I will reach out from time to time to update you on the progress the finance committee is making toward that goal.
