Happy Holidays, Resisters! Three quick notes for today …
1. Today, Saturday, there is a monster music festival with a great lineup of 50 bands to raise money for GA. The fun starts at 12 pm PST. Don’t miss out. Facebook link here: (https://www.facebook.com/events/169681851510112)
2. Tomorrow, Sunday, there is a free tamale lunch from 11:00-1:00 at the Community Center Park/Lyons Park, at West 9th & S. G. St. in Oxnard. Masks and Social distancing required. Masks and sanitizer will be provided. Hygiene care packs and canned foods will also be available. This is all compliments of the great folks at Food and Water Watch and Black Lives Matter – Ventura County. BLM-VC will continue to follow their guiding principle of ‘Invest in Community’ in 2021 and they appreciate all those in the community for helping make these meals possible!
3. Phonebanking and other forms of voter outreach to Georgians are going strong this weekend! Go to (tinyurl.com/GA-rocks-this-election) to find a crew to join. Resources and training for the shy, and/or inexperienced are available!
