Saturday, December 5
9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Topic: Lessons Learned from the Election, an Open Discussion

This month’s general membership meeting and community forum will examine ways in which Democrats can improve their performance in office and in future elections. How can Democrats appeal to voters who don’t vote for Democrats or voters who choose not to vote? How can our local, all-volunteer party respond to misinformation put out by for-profit infotainment outlets? How can Democrats work together to achieve their larger aims at the local, state, and national level despite major differences on goals and tactics.

Volunteers and party leaders will be sharing their stories from this past election and talking about the lessons they learned. Other speakers will include:

  • US Representative Debbie Dingell
  • MI Representative Donna Lasinski, incoming Michigan House Minority Leader
  • MI Representative Felicia Brabec, newly elected to represent the 55th District in the Michigan House of Representatives.
  • Washtenaw County Commissioner Shannon Beeman
  • Washtenaw County Commissioner Andy LaBarre.
