Smear Campaign Against Chris Lee

The Republican Party is running a smear campaign against Chris Lee. Chris is our current Representative (District 51, Kailua and Waimanalo) and is now running for the Senate seat to be vacated by Laura Thielen (District 25, Windward).
Chris is one of our most valuable legislators. He led the fight for legalizing gay marriage and is a leader in environmental legislation.

First of all, thank you to everyone who has been reaching out in support. And for those who asked, I promised a full break down of the false info being sent about me, so here it is!
In all the elections I’ve been through I’ve never before seen the kind of false and misleading attacks against me that my opponent’s campaign has been mailing to everyone this week. Negative campaigning is not something I’ll ever engage in, and I’m proud to run on the ideas I have and the work I’ve done with our community. But there’s a lot more to do if we are going to recover from COVID better than we went in, address tourism dependence, cost of living, and create sustainable jobs for our next generation, among many other important issues. So Mahalo for staying engaged in our community!
