ACTION CAMPAIGN
Will you be one of the 100?
As you may know, our state is in desperate need of new poll workers, especially during the pandemic. Many of our current poll workers are older and cannot risk getting COVID-19. In addition, the number of persons serving as poll workers has been shrinking over the past few years.
Therefore, as a way to support our democracy, Forward Kentucky is starting a campaign to enlist 100 new poll workers for the fall election.
The process to volunteer is simple: Just go to GoVoteKY.com and click on the option at the top of the menu, KY Needs Poll Workers! Fill out the form, and your county clerk will contact you with more information, including when the training will be.
Voting is one of the most sacred responsibilities of our democracy — but in order to vote, we must have poll workers. Help us reach our goal of 100 new ones by volunteering then letting us know you did. Just drop a note to Bruce@ForwardKY.com to tell us that you’ve signed up.
And by the way, our publisher, Bruce Maples, has already volunteered – AND, we’ve had four others who have stepped up in just the past few days. Be one of the 100 – volunteer today!
