Back to our regular news – everyone has been asking questions about voting, so we’ve added a great video, just below, from the League of Women Voter members.
VENTURA COUNTY VOTERS: Watch this well-researched video from our dedicated NON-PARTISAN League of Women Voter members, who explain how voting will work in our county for the Nov. 3rd election. Please share this with those who are anxious or suspicious of the process. (BTW – The League is an awesome group that anyone can supportand/or join, even the non-women out there.) - For the November 2020 election, due to Covid-19, ALL CALIFORNIA VOTERS will automatically receive a Vote-by-Mail ballot, whether requested or not, INSTEAD of a sample ballot and you will be able to track it!

Click here for Zoom Link. “The Catholic community stands with all people who struggle for an end to racism and violence, in our families, in our places of worship, in our communities and in our world. We must continue to build bridges and we must confront racism and violence with a commitment to life, a vision of hope, and a call to action,” Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz of Louisville, President of the U.S. Bishops Conference, June 19, 2015.
With this call to action, we can no longer stay silent or idle to the persistence of racism embedded in our institutions and public policies and how it impacts us personally. It is time we begin the healing process by listening to the experiences of our faith communities of color. May we be present with our compassionate hearts to listen to their voices and truths.”

Minimal Script: Hello, my name is [___]. [(if true) – “I am a constituent of Mayor Fischer’s.”) I would like to leave a comment for the mayor about finding justice for Breonna Taylor.I support the hunger strikers for Breonna and their demand that mayor Fischer use his full power to fire Brett Hankison, Myles Cosgrove and Johnathon Mattingly. I would also like to request that the mayor grant the Hunger Strikers the meeting they have been seeking for the last 3 weeks. Thank you. ***please use this script as is or add your own reasons for supporting this demand and the hunger strikers.
