Impeachment Talking Points: House Intel Report Will Show Overwhelming Evidence Of Bribery As Judiciary Committee Prepares Impeachment Probe

Graphic from Impeachment HQ.

The House Intelligence Committee report that will be submitted to the House Judiciary Committee will show that the evidence is overwhelming.

Witness testimony, text messages, emails, and transcripts all make clear that Donald Trump demanded Ukraine interfere in the 2020 election on his behalf before he’d give them either critical military aid or a White House meeting.

That’s a classic pay-to-play bribery scheme. He solicited something of personal value in exchange for official U.S. actions.

Bribery is one of the only crimes specifically described in the Constitution as impeachable.

That’s why the House Judiciary Committee is moving forward with impeachment hearings this week.

Lawmakers have a duty to show that nobody is above the law—not even the president of the United States.

With support for impeachment remaining high after two weeks of public hearings, the question for Republicans is whether they will keep lighting themselves on fire to defend Trump.

GOP, WHITE HOUSE FOCUSED ON OBSTRUCTION OF WEDNESDAY’S HOUSE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE HEARING BECAUSE THEIR DEFENSE HAS COLLAPSED

The White House and their Republican allies on Capitol Hill are more focused on obstruction than defending Trump’s actions.

The reason is clear: The White House defense of Donald Trump has collapsed and Republicans cannot defend Trump on the substance of the underlying charges.
