Rural Kentucky teachers getting anti-Andy Beshear emails at work weeks before election

Teachers in at least eight rural Kentucky school districts are receiving anti-Andy Beshear messages sent to their district-issued email accounts weeks before November’s election.

An email titled “The Truth About Andy Beshear” landed in the school email accounts of teachers in Henderson, Ohio, Allen, Livingston, Crittenden, Union, and Calloway counties over the past two weeks. Teachers in Paducah Independent Schools also got the email. (Courier-Journal)

Daniel Cameron grilled about legal experience in disqualification case

Republican attorney general candidate Daniel Cameron testified Monday that working as a law clerk for a federal judge fulfills the constitutional requirements to run for Kentucky’s chief prosecutor. New Beshear ad features teacher criticizing Bevin – A Kentucky school teacher who moonlights as an Uber driver to make ends meet is being featured in a political ad sharply critical of Gov. Matt Bevin and supportive of his opponent in the gubernatorial race, Democrat Andy Beshear. With the TV ad’s release Monday, teacher Laura Hartke becomes the face behind Beshear’s efforts to highlight Bevin’s feud with teachers over revamping public pension systems and his wanting charter schools to compete with public schools. (West Kentucky Star)
