Absentee Voting Information:
- June 26th is the last day to apply for an absentee ballot at the Board of Elections.
- June 27, 2023 is the last day to postmark the Primary Election absentee ballot by mail. The ballot must be received by the Board of Elections no later than July 4, 2023.
- June 27, 2023 is the last day to deliver the Primary Election absentee ballot in person to the Board of Elections or at any poll site throughout the county, by the close of the polls on election day.
GOTV for Mt. Veron Democrats
Mount Vernon has a critical Democratic primary on Tuesday, with Mayor Shawyn Patterson-Howard looking to build on her progressive record of bringing the city back from financial distress and the pandemic.
Mount Vernon Dems are holding a rally on Saturday in downtown MV and putting out a call for volunteers from neighboring communities. The rally will be at Democratic headquarters, One Park Avenue in Mount Vernon, starting at 10 am, with organized canvassing to follow.

Hochul Signs Shield Law
A year after the Supreme Court overturned Roe, Gov. Kathy Hochul Friday signed legislation sponsored by Sen. Shelley Mayer to protect New York health care providers who prescribe medication abortion to out-of-state patients.
