Position Description: Oakland County Democratic Party Communications Administrator

Status: Part-time position, on-site, at 50 hours/month

Salary: $17/hr-$20/hr 

Structure: Reports to the Oakland County Democratic Party Chair and will work closely with the Director of Operations and Communication Committee.

The Communications Administrator will coordinate and execute the following responsibilities:

Administration

Maintain OCDP social media communications.

Oversee the website and app (Mobilize, ActBlue, NGP VAN, social media, etc) edits.

Work with the Webmaster and Tech Support Contractor.

Submit a monthly work report to officers at their monthly meetings.

Meetings and Events

Work with the Communications Committee chair to coordinate messaging goals.

Host committee and Executive Committee/general meetings virtually as needed.

Use social media to inform members and elected officials of meetings and events.

Communications

Works with the Fundraising Committee (and team) to compose dynamic emails to boost fundraising and participation from members.

Work with the Chair and Fundraising Committee to strategically fundraise through digital marketing.

Create and produce a bi-monthly newsletter as well as additional communications as directed by the Chair.
