Winning the online digital war against right wing propaganda requires innovation and collaboration.
After three years of operation in which we mobilized tens of thousands of digital volunteers to earn 150,000,000,000 organic social media impressions for pro-democracy content, we know what it takes to push effective drumbeat messaging. 24/7/365.
And we know what it will take to do it even more effectively. So, in May we will launch the DemCast mobile app.
We heard you – our members – say time and time again that you needed a clearinghouse for tools that would help with digital activism. So we built it!
Some Key Points:
- It’ll Be Free: No charge for the app. Not a penny.
- No Ads: We want you to actually want to use the app. 😉
- No Sign-Up: We won’t require any personal info from you.
- Push Notifications: Get notified in real time about movement-wide social media mobilization events, hashtag pushes and more!
At launch, the app will feature:
- Toolkits Hub: We’ll have updated social toolkits from across the movement ready to use within a few clicks.
- Memes Galore: Partnering with our friends at Into Act!on, you’ll be able to download news-cycle-relevant graphics, GIFs & memes directly within the DemCast app.
- Messaging Advice: We’ll be curating and sharing messaging advice and talking points daily from across the movement – from the White House to movement orgs, messaging experts & more. All in one spot.
- Congress Tracker: We’ve built an easy-to-use database for looking up all the info you need to know about House & Senate members – including their committee assignments and links to ALL of their social accounts.
We are so excited to share this with you.
To be frank, we’ve spent a lot of money developing and optimizing this, and will continue to listen, update & iterate after launch. We need some support to get us across the finish line and get this thing onto all of your phones!
